Beard لحية

In a dream, for a man, it is wealth and honor. If he sees that it grew long until it stuck to his belly, he will gain wealth and standing with toil, in proportion to how much of it lay on his belly. If he sees that it grew to a suitable, handsome, moderate length, he will gain honor, standing, beauty, wealth, authority and a good life. If he sees that its sides grew long while its middle did not, he will obtain money that he prepares for someone else. If he sees that it grew beyond its proper size, it is a debt upon its owner, and worry and distress; if it grew so long that it fell to the ground, its owner will die. They said: if his beard grew long and its hair became abundant, his life and his wealth will be increased. If it reached the navel, he is a man not obedient to God Most High; if it exceeded a fistful, he is a usurer. If he sees the hair of his beard jet black, he will become rich; if it is black with a tinge of green, he will obtain a kingdom of countless numbers — unless he is a tyrant and oppressor, because Pharaoh's beard was black with a tinge of green. If he sees its color tending toward yellow, he will meet poverty and illness; if he sees it reddish-blond, fright will strike him. If he sees that he grabbed it and its hair came away in his hand and he did not throw it away, money will go from him and then return to him; if he threw it away, money will go from him and not return. If he sees a man's beard in his hand and he is pulling it, he will inherit his money and consume it. If a boy who has not reached puberty sees that he has a beard, he will die without reaching puberty; if he is close to growing a beard, that is a sign that he will become independent and manage his own affairs. If he sees that his beard is reduced and thin but not ugly, then if he is in debt, he will pay it off; if a matter had become difficult for him, it will become easy; and if he is distressed, his worry will go. If he sees that it is ugly and greatly reduced, his standing will go and he will become contemptible in people's eyes. If he sees that half his beard went, part of his standing or half his wealth will go.

(Whoever sees) half his beard shaved off will become poor and his standing will go. If an unknown young man shaved it, his standing will go at the hands of someone he knows, or his namesake or his peer; if it was an old man, his standing will go at the hands of an overbearing, domineering man. If he sees that his beard is cut off, his wealth will be cut by as much as was cut from his beard. Whoever grasps his beard and trims what exceeds the fistful is a man who pays the zakat on his wealth. Whoever cuts another's beard will consume his inheritance; and if he took some of it, he will inherit in proportion to that.

(Whoever sees) that his beard is white will obtain honor, standing and renown in the land. If he sees that his beard turned grey but some of its black remained, it is dignity; if none of its black remained, he will become poor and his standing will go.

(Whoever sees) that his wife has a beard, it is an increase in his wealth or his son's wealth, and illness for the woman. It is also said that a woman's beard announces that she will not give birth to a son; if she has a son, he will become master of his household. If a woman sees that she has a beard and she is married, she will lose her husband; if she is a widow, she will marry a working man who suits her; if a pregnant woman sees that, she will give birth to a boy; and if she has a dispute, she will win it and stand in the place of men.

(Whoever sees) that he is plucking his beard, that is money he will squander from his own hands.

(Whoever sees) that his beard grew so long that he spun it, wove it into a cloak and sold it in the market will bear false witness.

(Whoever sees) that he took a fistful or two from his beard and it did not diminish at all will obtain money from a man of standing. Whoever trimmed something from his beard, his wealth will go in proportion to what he trimmed from it. The beard is dignity. The beard may signify his shop, his means of livelihood, his clothing, his losses and his profit. If he trimmed his beard with his mouth, his worry and distress will be prolonged. The beard is an oath one swears by, and it indicates truthfulness and lying, stinginess and generosity. The beard may signify the wife.

(Whoever sees) white hair in his beard, that may signify a warning because of what he is committing. The beard may signify crops: if he sees that his black beard turned white, it signifies that the harvest of his crops is near. Whiteness of the beard may signify illness or infirmity. If his beard is white in waking life and he sees in the dream that it turned black, it signifies vigor, strength, resolve and vigor in movement. If his beard grew long contrary to the usual, it signifies amusement and play, or squandering money for no purpose, or worry and misery will come to him from the one it signifies, or the dreamer is very cunning. For a sinner, the beard is repentance; if he is misguided, he will be guided, especially if he sees whiteness in it. The growth of a beard on a woman is mannishness, or shamelessness and committing what is forbidden. A beard for a child is long life. Fondling the beard or kissing it is a sign of lack of ambition, whether the dreamer is the one doing it or the one it is done to. Seeing straw or something else caught in the beard is harmful bad speech, or a wife's pregnancy with a child whose formation will not be completed.
