Whoever sees in a dream that he is standing on a wall or riding it: the wall is the condition that supports him. If it is sturdy, his condition is good; otherwise, it is according to the wall's measure and how firmly he holds onto it. A wall is also a powerful, well-protected man possessed of religion, wealth and standing, in proportion to the wall's breadth, its solidity and its height, and the buildings around it are his lineage. Whoever sees the walls of a building standing but in need of repair, with people repairing them, it is a learned man or an imam whose power has passed, and he has companions who seek to restore his power; if they set about it, it will be restored; and if he is a merchant, he will grow strong in his trade.
(If he sees) that his wall fell down, a treasure will come to him.
(Whoever sees) that a wall or something else fell on him has committed many sins, and his punishment will be hastened. A crack in a wall, a tree or a branch means that one member of his household will become two, like the two blades of a pair of scissors or shears.
(Whoever sees) worn-out, ruined walls, it is a great learned imam, and the passing away of his companions, soldiers and clan; if he renews the walls, they will be renewed, and their former standing in the state will return.
(If he sees) that he is hanging onto a wall, he is on the verge of losing it, in proportion to how firm his grip is. It is also said that he will attach himself to a man of high rank. If he lifts a wall and throws it down, he will deprive a man of his livelihood, ruin him, or kill him; if he knows the wall, its owner will die in grief. It is also said that a wall is a man of overwhelming authority who cannot be approached except gently, according to his measure among walls. A city wall is warriors, or a strong ruler, or a strong chief who guards his wealth. If he leaps down from a wall leaning on a staff, he will turn from a believing man to a hypocrite, or abandon the counsel of a believer for that of a hypocrite. Whoever looks at a wall and sees his own image in it will die, and his name will be written on his grave. Whoever falls from a wall will fall from his position, or from a hope he has, or from a matter he is holding onto.
(Whoever sees) himself sitting on a wall with a gold bracelet in his hand will attain loftiness, honor, wealth and prestige. As for seeing a partition wall (jidar) in a dream, it signifies knowledge, guidance, finding out about wicked people, and judgment — or separation between companions.
(Whoever sees) a wall fall inward into the house, its owner will fall ill; if it falls outward, that is his death. If it is a wall whose place is marked off by a relation through marriage (it concerns the in-laws). Whoever builds a wall of mud bricks does a righteous deed; building with fired bricks and gypsum is not praiseworthy. When a wall splits in its place, it means more imprisonment in that place, and likewise a split tree. Water coming out of a wall comes from a brother or an in-law.
