Transformation (things changing from their usual form) تحويل الأشياء

Things changing from their usual state in a dream, such as a church becoming a mosque, or a dry tree becoming fruitful, indicates a change in those holding positions, or a change in the worker's condition from evil to good or from good to evil, according to the evidence of the dream. Likewise the limbs changing from their substances and persons from their forms. Whoever sees that he has become middle-aged, though he is not, it is soundness in his religion, dignity for him and an increase in his honor.

Whoever sees that he is a boy, there is no good in it in any case, for he will indulge in youthful passion [yasbu, from the same root as sabi, "boy"] and act foolishly. If a woman sees that she is an old woman or middle-aged, though she is not, it is soundness for her in her religion and worldly life.

Whoever sees in a dream an old woman who has become young again: if he is poor, he will become rich; if he is one whose worldly fortune has turned away from him, its favor will return to him; and if he is sick, he will recover from his illness.

Whoever sees a decrease in any part of his body, that is in his worldly affairs.

Whoever sees that he is in the form and adornment of a woman will be struck by humiliation, submission and affliction in himself, unless he sees that he returned to his [normal] state.

It is also said that if he is in a dispute, let him make peace with his opponent, for the argument is against him; and if he makes peace with him, he will obtain what he needs. The interpretation may shift to her guardian or her owner, who will have renown among people and honor in proportion to the size of the organ.

Whoever sees that he has a tail, a horn, a forelock or a hoof, that is good in interpretation; likewise if he sees that he has a beak, a camel's lip, a trunk, or a similar addition to the body: all of that is worldly gain and good, God the Exalted willing. Whoever's body changes in the dream into the body of some animal: if it is a beast of prey, he will dominate those beneath him through his wealth or authority and great might, or through his cunning and deception; and if it is an animal that is eaten, it indicates his goodness or his lowliness.

Whoever sees that he has feathers or wings, that is leadership and good that he will obtain. If he sees that he is flying with those wings, he will travel on a journey in authority in proportion to how far he rose above the ground.

Whoever sees that his body has become pottery or glass will not last.

Whoever sees that he has become iron, his life will be long.

Whoever sees that he became a bridge or causeway over which people cross will become a ruler, or the ruler's companion, or the ruler's equal, or one of the scholars through whom people reach [their goals] in their affairs.

Whoever sees that he turned into a stick, there is no good in it, for it is corruption in his religion and worldly life, except that he will be fatigued in his worldly life. If he sees that he turned into a polo mallet, it is the same, except that he will not obtain what he seeks through uprightness in his affairs or his pursuit. If someone who has a sick child sees as if the child turned into a bird, it is a sign of the child's death and that he will be placed in the crop of a bird [of Paradise].

Whoever sees that he was transformed into a monkey or something like it, that is the passing away of God the Exalted's blessing.

Whoever sees that he was transformed into a camel, a riding animal, a beast of prey or the like, there is no good in it for his religion in particular, in any case. If he sees that he turned into a bird, he will be a traveler roaming the earth, a man of journeys, and his livelihood in this world will resemble that bird's way of living.

Whoever sees that he turned into a wild animal will part from the community of Muslims and withdraw from them.
