The Human Eye عين الإنسان

In a dream it is a man's religion and his insight with which he perceives guidance and misguidance.

(Whoever sees) many eyes on his body, all of that is an increase in religion and righteousness. If he sees that his heart has an eye or many eyes, it is likewise, in proportion to their light, in interpretation. If he sees that he glanced at a man askance, he will plot against him and bear him a grudge. If he sees that he opened his eye on him, he will look into his affair and help him. If he sees that his eye is of iron, he will tear his (own) cover (be exposed) and severe worry will strike him among people.

(Whoever sees) that he looked at an eye and it pleased him will do something that will be a burden on him in his religion. If his belly was split open and he saw eyes inside it, he is a heretic, based on the words of God Most High:

“Allāh has not made for a man two hearts in his interior. And He has not made your wives whom you declare unlawful your mothers. And He has not made your claimed [i.e., adopted] sons your [true] sons. That is [merely] your saying by your mouths, but Allāh says the truth, and He guides to the [right] way.”

Quran 33:4 · Saheeh International

If he sees on his shoulder the eye of a man or of an animal, he will obtain unexpected money. If he sees that his eye is nailed, he is looking with suspicion at his friend's wife. A black eye is religion; a grey-blue (shahla') eye is contrary to religion; a blue eye is religion with innovation; and a green eye is a religion that differs from (other) religions. Sharpness of sight is praiseworthy for all people. Its weakness signifies that he will be in need of money and will become idle, because wealth is in the position of the eye; for one who has children and sees this dream, it signifies that they will fall ill. If he sees that both his eyes are gone, his children will die. For one who is poor or imprisoned, this signifies that he will no longer see any of the evil he is in. For one who is oppressed, it signifies that he will find someone to take his hand and save him from what he is in, just as many people take a blind man by the hand, serve him and he is at ease. If one who wants to travel, or who is traveling, sees it, it signifies that he will not return to his homeland.

(Whoever sees) people dueling and sees that he is blind will not see those who duel with him.

(Whoever sees) that his eyes are the eyes of another, unfamiliar person, that signifies the loss of his sight and that someone else will guide him along the road; if the dreamer knows that stranger, he will marry his daughter to that man or obtain good from him.

(Whoever sees) that his eyes fell into his lap, his brother, his son or the like will die.

(Whoever sees) that he owns a woman's eyes will marry a foolish, ignorant woman. A person's eye is his child, his beloved or his religion. Whoever sees inflammation in his eyes, it is a deficiency in his religion, and blindness is a greater deficiency. If the dreamer is a religious man and sees his eye lost or its light gone, he will be afflicted in his religion through a sin he enters into, or abandoning prayer, or withholding zakat. If a person sees that he has a hundred eyes, they are a hundred dirhams, and likewise if he sees them in his hand. The eye is a man of consequence. The king's eye is his spy. The eye is interpreted as a watcher, as a man in a tribe, as a spring of water ('ayn), and as cash ('ayn). If an unbeliever sees a deficiency in his eye, that is in his wealth and his children. (Whoever sees) that his eyes have been moved to the tops of his feet and he walks with them is a man who has two slaves and has married them to two daughters of his.

(Whoever sees) that he is afflicted in his eyes while he is one of the righteous and has no child will be afflicted in his cash wealth.

(Whoever sees) that his eye went will be struck by illness.

(Whoever sees) that he is treating his eyes will set his religion right. It is also said of one who treats his eyes that he will set his wealth right; it is also said that a child will be born to him who will be the delight of his eye; and it is also said that if he has an absent brother who has been exiled, he will hope for his return and be glad that he is alive.

(Whoever sees) that his sight is sharper and stronger than people think, his inner self in his religion is better than his outward appearance. If he sees that his sight is weaker than people think, or sees that his sight has dimmed and weakened without people knowing it, his inner self in his religion is lower than his outward appearance.

(Whoever sees) a white film in his eyes will be struck by sorrow or will part from someone dear to him.

(Whoever sees) a white film in his eyes that then cleared will meet with an absent person whose absence has been long, and if he is worried, God will remove his worry and distress.

(Whoever sees) blueness in his eyes is a criminal.

(Whoever sees) that his heart has an eye, it is righteousness in his religion and wisdom that he will speak, coming forth from his heart.

(Whoever sees) that one of his eyes is entering the other: if he has a son and a daughter, let him separate them and not allow the girl access to the boy.

(Whoever sees) that he is eating a man's eye will consume his wealth.

(Whoever sees) that his eyes have no lashes is neglecting God's laws and religion. If a person plucked them, his enemy will expose him. If he sees that his eyelashes turned white, it signifies an illness that will strike him in the head, the eyes or the ears. Seeing an eye on the body, or eyes, if that corresponds to the natural eye, is a sign of wealth, because of the blood-money for it. Seeing a lovely eye may signify sorcery, death and life. Eyes may signify the whole family, relatives, children or followers. Eating eyes may be eating roasted eggs. The eye ('ayn) is news of a death (na'y), by derivation. An eye that is eaten is provision.

(Whoever sees) that his eyes became beautiful will be granted guidance, knowledge and insight. If he has a sick child, wife or beloved, they will recover from their illness; if he is an unbeliever, he will embrace Islam; if he is poor, he will become rich; otherwise he will attain a high position befitting him according to his worth. A fixed stare may signify hardship. If the eye moves to another place on the body, it signifies a blight in the body, such as bleeding, ulcers or the opening of sores in his body. Whoever is traveling and fears thirst, and sees eyes (springs) on his body or picks them up from the ground, will find water and benefit from it. An eye that cannot be grasped or described because of its size and greatness may be the eye of providence from God, glorified and exalted is He. The blotting out of eyes is a sign of punishment from God Most High descending. Whoever's eye falls upon a person who was hidden from him will see him, because it is said, "My eye fell upon so-and-so who was hiding." Whoever finds a deficiency in his eye may complain of harm in his foot, for some lovers go to great lengths in visiting their beloved, and it is said, "I came to him on my eyes." The right eye signifies a son and the left a daughter. A speck in the eye signifies sleeplessness and parting from a companion one takes pride in.

(Whoever sees) his eyes moved into his ears will become blind, and everything he used to see with his eyes he will hear with his ears, because a blind man's sight is in his ears. If he sees redness in his eye, he will be struck by anger or rage because of something that befalls him.

(Whoever sees) that his eye was gouged out will be repaid for something he did. If both his eyes were gouged out, a child who is the delight of his eye will be cut off from him, or he will see in what delights his eye — wealth, a child, a house or something he owns — what he dislikes of violence and hardship. Gouging out an eye in a dream is long life. Plucking out an eye may signify a misfortune that will strike his sight. Whatever a person does to another in a dream may come back on himself.
