He is the one who treats the hides of animals. In a dream he signifies the cupper, because of the healing in cupping.

Whoever sees a physician turned into a tanner of hides, it signifies his skill and the many who are cured at his hands, unless he sees that his tanning is spoiled and rotten, in which case he is an ignorant fraud.
