Prostration in prayer سجود الصلاة

Whoever sees that he bowed, prostrated and prayed to God the Exalted will humble himself before Him, free himself of arrogance, uphold God's limits and obligations, pray much, quickly attain what he hopes for in religion and in worldly life, and triumph over whoever is hostile to him.

Whoever sees that he prostrated to God the Exalted will triumph over his enemy and be forgiven. The one prostrating is a sinner; so he will repent of his sin and regret it, be saved from a peril, attain his need and be pardoned, and one who is pardoned lives long. If he sees that he prostrated to other than God the Exalted, or fell on his face without intending prostration by it, he will be humiliated and forsaken if he is in a dispute, a war or a quarrel; if he is in trade he will lose; and if he has a need it will not be fulfilled. If he falls prostrate to God the Exalted on a mountain, he will triumph over a formidable man; and if it is on a hill or a wall, he will humble himself before a man of high rank who will let him down. Prostration in a dream is a sign of faith in God, and of repentance for the disobedient. Bowing and prostration may signify the pilgrimage (Hajj), because of His saying, the Exalted:

“And [mention] when We made the House [i.e., the Kaʿbah] a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], "Purify My House for those who perform ṭawāf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer]."”

Quran 2:125 · Saheeh International

Prostration may signify following the Sunnah and the companionship of the Prophet (God bless him and grant him peace) in Paradise. A prostration in a dream is a sign of victory, a sign of repentance from the sin one is in, a sign of winning wealth, a sign of long life and of rescue from dangers; and prostration is also support and the setting right of affairs. Prostration may also be a blessing that God the Exalted has bestowed on the one who sees it.

Whoever sees a brick of gold prostrating to a brick of silver: a noble man will humble himself before a lowly man. Whoever prostrates to a cross will humble himself before hypocritical people in the playing of the lute (barbat), singing and stringed instruments (ma'azif).
