Pen (reed pen) قلم

In a dream it is knowledge, command and prohibition, and a child. Every craftsman who sees in his dream that he has acquired the tools of his craft, all of them, complete and comprehensive, will attain comprehensive leadership in that craft; and if he sees that he acquired one tool of it, he is secure through that craft from poverty. If a scribe sees that he is wearing a long robe, or has a pen or a sheet in his hand, he is secure from poverty through the service of a king. The pen is the steward of everything; it is a man who enters into guardianship (of someone); and if he does not enter into a guardianship, he will marry a free, noble woman of good religion. It is also said that the pen is a scribe's son.

(Whoever sees) that he obtained a pen will obtain knowledge; and if he writes with it, that pen has the meaning of the sciences he wrote with it. The pen is authority.

(Whoever sees) a pen in his hand and another pen beside it, it is a brother whom he will meet; and if his mother is pregnant, she will give birth to a brother. Pens are guardianship for whoever sees them.

(Whoever sees) a pen in his hand and he is a governor who took it from a ruler will obtain elevation and an authoritative command; and if he has been dismissed, he will be given a dominion over which he will rule. The pen with the inkwell is a male child for one who has a pregnant wife. The pen indicates an oath sworn by whoever sees it in his hand, because of His saying, Exalted is He:

نٓ ۚ وَٱلْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ

“Nūn. By the pen and what they inscribe,”

Quran 68:1 · Saheeh International

If a scribe sees that something happened to his pen, its interpretation is in his livelihood and his craft. The pen indicates what a person is remembered by and through which judgments are executed, such as the ruler, the scholar, the judge, the tongue and the sword. It may indicate the plowshare: the fingers are its oxen and its ink is the seed. The pen indicates generosity and nobility. The pen may indicate a person who keeps secrets. The pen may indicate victory over enemies. Seeing the Pen of Divine Power in a dream indicates an oath he will swear to someone else: if he sees it in perfect form, his oath will be truthful; and if he sees it lacking one of the good qualities, it indicates that the oath is false. Seeing it may indicate knowledge, memorization and a noble craft, and it may indicate long life and provision.
