Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Oven (bakery oven) فرن

In a dream, if it is the household oven, it signifies the master of the house, or his servant who sees to the needs of his family. It may signify his storeroom, his storehouse, his purse, or his chest that safeguards his money and his secret; the same holds for the clay oven (tannur). The market oven signifies the house of the magistrate, the schoolroom in which boys are taught, the prison, and the fulfillment of needs. It may also signify benefits and provisions, and recovery from illnesses. Whoever goes into an oven with dough and bakes it, it signifies the fulfillment of his needs and his recovery from his illnesses; he may triumph over his enemy or his opponent before the authority, or a debtor of his may be imprisoned on his account, or he may hand his son over to learn a trade or to a school, or he may obtain abundance, profit and ampleness in his provision. The oven's equipment and tools are his troops and helpers, or the apprentices whom he relies on in his craft. A known oven signifies the place of its owner's livelihood, his revenue and his earnings, such as his shop, his field and his place of trade. It may signify the man himself, according to whatever good or evil, increase or decrease, or improvement happened to it, which comes back upon him or upon the place of his earnings and revenue. An unknown oven may signify the palace of the ruler or the house of the magistrate, because of the kindling of fire in it, and fire is a power that harms and benefits. The oven may also signify the market. Whoever sends wheat or barley to an unknown oven: if he is sick, he will die and his wealth will go to the judge; if he is not sick and owes the ruler a tithe, or rent, or the remainder of a fine and the like, he will pay what he owes; otherwise he will send merchandise to the market. If the ground grain sent to the oven was barley, he will receive for his merchandise something close to his capital; if it was wheat, he will profit a third, a quarter or a half on it, according to its alms-due, if he had measured it or some of it had gone into leaven.
