Moses (the Prophet) موسى

Peace be upon him. Whoever sees him in a dream, God the Exalted will destroy a tyrant at his hands, and after that he will gain honor and victory. He will have a sharp temper, yet he will not be humiliated or forsaken. Seeing Moses, peace be upon him, signifies the strength of the people of truth and the defeat of the people of falsehood. If there is a tyrannical king or a heretical ruler there, God will destroy him, and the dreamer will be saved from his evil.

Whoever sees that he has been transformed into the form of Moses, peace be upon him, or that he is wearing one of his garments: if he is a ruler who has an enemy, he will triumph over his enemy and attain what he hoped for. If one who is imprisoned or in straits sees him, or one who is certain he will perish at sea, it signifies his rescue. Seeing him signifies the destruction of tyrants in that year, and whoever sees him while at war will be given victory.

Whoever sees Moses, peace be upon him, is someone overpowered in his affairs and burdened with worry because of his relatives; he will find support and strength against them, overcome his enemy and crush his troops. If he is traveling by sea, he will be saved and come through safely. Seeing Moses, peace be upon him, signifies trial in childhood, separation from family and relatives, being raised by strangers, keeping company with kings and tyrants, fulfilling promises, marrying into the families of righteous people, and learning wondrous matters from them, because he was the companion of al-Khidr, peace be upon him, and witnessed him holing the ship, killing the boy and setting up the wall. He may also be troubled by his people or by one of his family because of a bequest or because he enjoined what is right. His appearance may signify skill as an envoy and good mediation. Seeing him signifies a sea voyage that ends in safety and profit. Things may be said against his honor that are not true of him, and there may be a defect in his speech or a flaw in his head.

If one of the people of spiritual detachment [ascetics who have renounced the world] sees Moses, peace be upon him, that signifies an increase of light within him, spiritual ascent and raised ranks. If a woman sees Moses, peace be upon him, there is fear for her child of being lost or of an ordeal, but in the end it will turn out well for her. The same ruling applies to a child who sees Moses, peace be upon him.

Whoever sees the staff of Moses, peace be upon him, in his hand will attain a great rank and victory over his enemies. If he is bewitched or bound by a spell [ma'qud: "knotted," i.e. a binding spell, often one preventing marital relations], that will be undone. The appearance of the staff of Moses may signify the victory of the believers and the ruin of the unbelievers.
