Angel ملك

Whoever sees one of the angels (peace be upon them) in a dream speaking to him or giving him something, that is martyrdom with which he will be blessed, God willing.

(Whoever sees) the angels descending on a place, its people, if they are at war, will be granted victory, or if they are in distress, it will be relieved. Their descent may signify troops that the ruler sends to that land, or an epidemic or plague if their going up and coming down in houses or on rooftops is frequent. The descent of the noblest angels may signify princes, or commanders and governors.

(Whoever sees) that he is flying with the angels, or is with them in the sky, will attain martyrdom and win the good pleasure of God Most High and His honor.

(Whoever sees) the angels in a place while he is afraid of them, war, turmoil, disputes and enmity will occur there. If he sees that the angels have come down from the sky to the earth, that is weakness for those who follow falsehood and victory for those in the right. If he sees them come down to the earth speaking words of goodness and glad tidings, he will attain martyrdom and happiness in this world. If he sees that they are prostrating or bowing to him, his needs will be met and he will be granted righteousness, good mention and renown in this world. If he sees them in the form of women, he is lying about God Most High. If he sees an angel saying to him, "Read the Book of God," then if the man is of good repute (his faults concealed) he will obtain joy; otherwise there is fear for him, based on the words of God Most High:

ٱقْرَأْ كِتَـٰبَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًا

“[It will be said], "Read your record. Sufficient is yourself against you this Day as accountant."”

If he sees the angels giving him glad tidings of a boy, a son will be born to him who is a learned, righteous and God-fearing scholar whom people will follow. If he sees a group of angels in a town or village, a scholar or an ascetic will die there and a wronged man will be killed.

(Whoever sees) that he is gazing at the angels will be afflicted in his children and his wealth.

(Whoever sees) the spiritual angels will obtain honor, glory, blessing, profit and renown among people, and will become a soothsayer or fortune-teller; but at the end of his life he will suffer decline and hardship because of a talebearer and a slanderer.

(Whoever sees) that he turned into an angel will obtain honor and glory.

(Whoever sees) that he is wrestling with an angel will lose his position, his honor and his rank, and will be struck by worry and grief. If he sees the angels entering his house, a thief will break in on him. If he sees that an angel took his weapon from him, it is a sign of the loss of his wealth, his strength and his benefit, and he may separate from his wife. If he sees angels carrying platters of fruit, he will leave this world as a martyr. If a person sees them cursing him, he is weak in religion. Opposing angels, such as the angels of heaven and the angels of Hell, if a person sees them all together, signify enmity and dispersal. If he sees the angel as a boy, it indicates the future; if he sees him as a young man, it indicates the present; and if he sees him as an old man, it indicates the past.

(Whoever sees) that he became an angel will become a soothsayer and fortune-teller, or a slanderer and backbiter; and if he is sick, it signifies his death.

(Whoever sees) the angels asking forgiveness for him, his religion and his condition will become sound and his wealth will increase. If the angels descend on cemeteries, righteous people will be buried there. If he sees the angels in the market, it is a sign of cheating in the scales.

(Whoever sees) that he is wrestling with an angel will suffer worry and humiliation after honor.

(Whoever sees) that he took the form of an angel, if he is in hardship he will find relief; if he is a slave, he will be freed; and if he is noble, he will gain increase and leadership.

(Whoever sees) the angels greeting him, God will grant him insight in his life and his life will end in good. If an unbeliever sees the angels praying for him and asking forgiveness for him, he will embrace Islam. Seeing angels may signify witnesses, and may signify trustees, police officers and the messengers of those in authority. As for the angels of punishment: if he sees them come in to a dead person and he is not afraid of them, it signifies safety from where he fears, especially if he is a traveler, for he will be safe from highway robbers. If they greet him, prompt him with his answer, or promise him good, it is glad tidings of reaching his hope, his safety, honor, wealth, joy and contentment of heart. If he sees them frightening him, angry, beating him with iron rods or alarming him, he may apostatize from his religion, return to a sin, anger his parents, or abandon what God has made obligatory upon him. Seeing them signifies the messengers of the king, his deputy, or the governor. If a dead person informs him that they did not come in to him, it signifies his good conduct, the acceptance of his obedience and his good outcome, and if he owed a debt, he will be cleared of it. Seeing them may signify the recovery of the sick. Seeing them may signify interpreters who know people's languages, for they question everyone according to his state and in his own language. Ruman, the angel who comes to the dead person in his grave: seeing him indicates, for one who is poor, that he will become rich; for one who is unemployed, that he will find work; or that he will bear witness and then lose the record of his testimony.
