Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Mihrab (prayer niche) محراب

In a dream it is a man who is an imam or a leader. Whoever sees that he urinated in the mihrab one, two or three drops, each drop is a son who will be a king.

Whoever sees that he is praying in the mihrab, it is glad tidings; if a woman sees that, she will give birth to a son. If he sees an imam praying in his mihrab, he has caught up with what he used to do; if it is outside its known time, that is an office for his descendants.

Whoever sees that he urinated in the mihrab, a boy will be born to him who will become an imam whom people follow. The mihrabs of the poor [Sufis], when a person sees them, signify night vigil prayer, sincerity and a love of withdrawing from people. Marking mihrabs in houses with the fingers is a sign that the household will be blessed with male children; otherwise it will revert to being an endowment for God the Exalted. Mihrabs that are skewed signify deviation and slips in word and deed. The mihrab may signify lawful provision and a righteous wife, because of His saying, the Exalted:

“So her Lord accepted her with good acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner and put her in the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. He said, "O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?" She said, "It is from Allāh. Indeed, Allāh provides for whom He wills without account."”

Quran 3:37 · Saheeh International

(to the end of) the verse. If the mihrab of the mosque is turned away from the qibla, or its smell is foul, or there are carcasses thrown in it, it signifies the dreamer's unbelief, his heresy or his hypocrisy.
