In a dream it is worries and miseries, blindness and deafness. Passionate love is a trial in waking life, and notoriety that makes people sympathize with him. It signifies poverty, and death for the sick. Death in a dream may signify passionate love and distance from the beloved, and life after death is the lover's union with the beloved. Cauterization and burning in a dream are passionate love. Entering Paradise in a dream is union with the beloved and the lover's union with the beloved, just as entering the Fire in a dream is separation. Infatuation and love in a dream are heedlessness and a deficiency in religion. Passionate love is corruption in religion and a decrease in wealth. Love for God, Glorified and Exalted, in a dream is firmness in religion, sound certainty, and following the Sunna of the Prophet, God bless him and grant him peace. It may signify a child in waking life, the divorce of spouses, a decrease in wealth and children, and the estrangement of brothers. It may signify extinction and hunger, various illnesses, or journeys to distant, dangerous places. If he claims love or infatuation in a dream, he will go astray after being guided. If the dreamer is a scholar, he will tempt people with his embellishments and undo for them the foundations of their right guidance. If the dreamer is a lowly person, his standing will rise, his renown will spread, his argument will prevail, and he will increase in certainty, religion and worldly goods. If he is new to Islam, he will gain insight into his religion and his faith will strengthen.
