Digging حفر

Whoever sees in a dream that he is digging the ground will obtain money in proportion to the digging and the amount of soil he gets, if it is dry. If it is moist, he is scheming against a person over money from which he will get nothing but toil, and the toil is in proportion to the moisture of the soil. Digging is scheming and deception; the digger may be killed, and his scheme may turn back against him.

Whoever sees that he is digging the ground and bringing out soil: if he is sick or has a sick person with him, that is his grave; if he is a traveler, that is his journey, and its soil is what he earns in it.

Whoever sees that he is digging a pit, a well or channels, or intends by digging it to make water flow: if it is for himself, it is a private livelihood; otherwise it is for familiarity and dealings [with others]. If he made water flow in what he digs, that is a knot [difficulty] in his livelihood.

If he sees that by digging it he intended to make someone fall into it, he is scheming against him.

If he sees that he himself went into it, that scheme will turn back upon him and not upon the one he intended it for.

If he sees that he is eating from the earth he is digging, he will obtain money in proportion to what he ate of it.

Whoever sees that he came out of a pit, if he is sick or imprisoned, he will come out of what he is in.

Whoever sees that he is disappearing into a pit from which there is no rescue is being schemed against in a matter, in proportion to the extent, depth and width of the pit.

Whoever sees that he fell into a pit and calls for help from someone to lift him out and no one comes to him, that is his grave. Pits signify safety from fear and deliverance from hardships, especially for one who hides in them from an enemy in a dream. If he finds in the pit good food, sweet water, or something to cover his nakedness, he will be granted provision from where he does not expect, or he will be reconciled with the one who was scheming against him.
