In a dream it is ugly speech involving humiliation, coming from the one from whom it came out. Whoever smells someone else's wind will be visited by worry. Whoever breaks wind will be struck by distress, and if he is among people, it is widespread distress into which he and whoever its smell reached will fall.
Whoever sees that he is in prayer and a foul wind came out of him is seeking something he needs and praying for relief, but he will speak words involving humiliation, and that matter will become difficult for him. Breaking wind signifies revealing secrets and the removal of hidden rancor and malice. It signifies rest after toil and the paying off of debt. Smelling it may signify headache, nasal catarrh and bad news.
Whoever sees that he broke wind after purification: if he made a pledge, he will break his pledge and violate his oath, unless he returns to purification, in which case he will fulfill that pledge or make expiation for his oath. If he broke wind without having purified, it is speech he will speak or money in which there is no good. If he sees that he broke wind in his house, words will pass between him and his family. The fouler the smell of the wind, the more it points to ugly hopes and thoughts.
