Whoever sees in a dream that he is standing in the air between heaven and earth will attain honor from a ruler and power, but will not remain firm in it. If the dreamer is a man of vain hopes and self-delusion, his dream is meaningless.
(Whoever sees) that he is walking across the air, without ascending, will attain great honor and lawful money if he is fit for it; otherwise, if he is a man of vain hopes, he will travel.
(Whoever sees) that he is suspended between heaven and earth, his heart is preoccupied and he does not know what to do. Whoever falls from the air will fall from his rank and standing; if he has no rank or standing, he will despair of a matter he aims at and hopes for. It is said that whoever falls from the air while worried, God will relieve his worry. Clear air is a sign of good for one who intends to travel and for one whose craft needs air and sun. Air [hawa'] is also interpreted as the desire of the soul [hawa]: whoever disobeys his desire is among the people of Paradise.
(Whoever sees) that he is following his desire is negligent in the affairs of his religion, because of His saying, the Exalted:
“And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His face [i.e., acceptance]. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.”
Quran 18:28 · Saheeh International
(Whoever sees) that he is standing between heaven and earth speaking face to face will obtain good from God, blessing, wealth, honor and renown.
(Whoever sees) that he is sitting on the air is following his whims in his religion and is deluded in his affairs.
(Whoever sees) that he is building a house or a dwelling in the air, or pitching a pavilion or a tent there, or riding an animal or something else in it: if he is ill or has a sick person with him, it is death, and that is his bier. If a ruler, a commander or a judge sees that, he will be dismissed from his post and removed from authority, or die. If one at sea sees that, his ship will be wrecked, or his enemy will capture him, or he will come close to perishing. It may indicate a corrupt deed he did without knowledge or Sunna, because he did not build it on a foundation; otherwise his canopy and pavilion would have been on firm ground. Flying in the air indicates traveling by sea or by land; if it is with wings, that is stronger for its owner, safer and clearer. His wing may be money by which he rises, or a ruler under whose protection and wing he travels, or a good sail for a ship, or banners tied for him on land with governorship over some cities. Likewise swimming in the air, if it is without wings, may indicate change in what he enters upon, such as jihad, enforcing public morals, or traveling at a time not suited for travel, by land or sea. If the air appears black to the dreamer so that he cannot see the sky: if he alone sees that, what is between him and one of the chiefs will darken; if he has no chief, his sight will be blinded and his view veiled from the light of the air. If all people see that and are crying for help and beseeching, a hardship will befall them in proportion to the darkness: either strife and distress, or barrenness and drought. Likewise the reddening of the air.
(Whoever sees) dust motes [haba'], in a dream it is vain speech, because of His saying, the Exalted:
وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ هَبَآءً مَّنثُورًا
“And We will approach [i.e., regard] what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.”
