Whoever sees that he is paying the zakat on his wealth as God the Exalted has prescribed for him: if he is rich, he will obtain wealth and blessing and will perform the prayers at their proper times. Zakat on wealth paid by people of means signifies goodness and protection from enemies. Sometimes zakat signifies night vigil prayers (tahajjud) and much voluntary fasting. Sometimes paying out zakat signifies a financial penalty (a loss to be paid), sometimes the death of someone dear to him, and sometimes the loss of one of his limbs. Whoever sees that he paid the zakat al-fitr (the alms given at the end of Ramadan), he will pray and glorify God abundantly, will pay off a debt if he owes one, and no illness or ailment will befall him that year. Zakat al-fitr in a dream is a gain if it is in one of the kinds of goods from which zakat must be given. Zakat on minerals and on found property is good news of an additional child or wife. If the dreamer is poor, it gives him the good news that his righteous deeds will be accepted, and of his repentance if he is a sinner, and God the Exalted will provide him with lawful wealth. If he is an unbeliever, he will embrace Islam and become one of the people who pay zakat.
