Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Wrestling (grappling, fighting) صراع

Whoever sees in a dream that a person threw him down will lose his wealth. The one defeated in wrestling, who falls to the ground, is the victor in waking life. If two kings wrestle intending war, the defeated is the victor; and likewise everyone who has an opponent contending with him or taking him to court. The victor in wrestling may turn out to be the victor in waking life if there is evidence in the dream that supports this, as when one defeats his opponent in wrestling while wearing a new garment and the defeated one's clothes are shabby and old. If they are equal in clothing, and the victor's stature has grown tall or his body large, while the defeated one has become small, his body diminished and his color yellow, then he is also the defeated one in waking life, as the evidence of the dream indicates. The victor may also be the victor without evidence, since dreams sometimes come true exactly as seen; or if the two wrestlers are of different kinds, the one who throws is in a better state than the one thrown, as with a human and a beast of prey.

(Whoever sees) two men wrestling and one throws the other, the one thrown is in a better state than the thrower. Wrestling is disputing.

(Whoever sees) that he wrestled and threw (the other) will prevail. When a woman saw that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, wrestled her, threw her down and sat on her chest, her husband died and she married another. Wrestling indicates the illness of the one thrown down; it may indicate the recovery of a sick person from his illness, unless he is the victor over a human, in which case it is a sign of his death. If in the dream he wrestled an animal and killed it, it indicates his deliverance from his hardship. If he wrestled a human (the text reads 'became a dhimmi'), it indicates his victory and his overpowering of his enemies.
