Water skin (large water bag) راوية

In a dream it signifies a leading authority in the transmission [riwaya] of reports [wordplay on rawiya 'water skin' and rawi 'transmitter']. It may signify provision, or the cooling of the heart because of someone dear to him. It may signify travel. If it is new, it signifies a life made turbid. If it is an old worn skin [shann], it may signify war and fighting, especially if a lid [tabaq] is with it in the dream, because of the proverb: 'Shann matched Tabaqa.' It is said these were two tribes between whom war broke out, and Shann got even with Tabaqa. A water skin, for a ruler, is a prosperous district from which great revenue is collected with justice and fairness; for a merchant, honorable trade with low prices and fairness; and for a craftsman, high, ample and great work.
