Spending (maintenance) نفقة

In a dream, spending on blood relatives or being generous to kin is a sign of abundance in wealth, of protecting one's dependents, and of a replacement for whatever wealth or child was lost, because of His saying, the Exalted:

قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّى يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُۥ ۚ وَمَآ أَنفَقْتُم مِّن شَىْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُۥ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ

“Say, "Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts [it] for him. But whatever thing you spend [in His cause] - He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers."”

Quran 34:39 · Saheeh International

(Whoever sees) that he is spending his money against his will, his appointed term has drawn near. Spending and being lavish in it may indicate hypocrisy [nifaq, play on infaq].
