Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Miller طحان

In a dream he is a man busy with repairing himself and his worldly affairs, to the extent of the flour that is scattered onto him. If he sees an old man who is a miller, that is his good fortune [jadd, also: grandfather] and his friend, and the world will pour onto him through his good fortune in proportion to the flour that was scattered on him and in proportion to the old man's strength. If he was a young man, then his provision comes from the help of an enemy. A person seeing himself as a miller signifies that he takes on his own upkeep by working the millstone, until the improvement of his livelihood pours onto him in proportion to the food he grinds. If he sees that he grinds as much as suffices him, his livelihood will be enough for his needs. If he grinds as much as suffices two, three or four, or less or more, then in that proportion it will pour onto him, and he will be the guardian of his household and the one who provides for them in proportion to what pours onto him. If the miller is a young man, his provision will come from the help of his enemy; if he is an old man, his provision comes from the help of his good fortune [or grandfather] or his friend. If the old man's grey hair is mixed with black and he is of large body, that is stronger. The miller is a man who urges people toward earning a living. Seeing the miller signifies troubles and quarrels, money-changing and usury, and an authority at whose hands difficult matters are accomplished. Seeing a grinder of saffron signifies illnesses and the revealing of secrets, and it may signify secret deeds, and studying knowledge and repeating it. Seeing a grinder of grain flour signifies the departure of worries and troubles, and purity; likewise a grinder of lote-tree leaves (sidr).
