In a dream it is seeking God's forgiveness, and seeking forgiveness is the garden.

If he sees someone else watering his garden, the one watering will betray him with his wife. Whoever enters an unknown garden whose leaves have scattered will be struck by worry. The garden indicates a woman, because she is watered and then conceives and gives birth. If the garden is a woman, its trees are her people, her family and her children, and likewise its fruits. An unknown garden may indicate the Noble Quran, because it is like a garden in the eyes of those who look upon it, and in the hands of the reciter it is forever harvested for the fruits of its wisdom while its roots remain, together with the mention of people in it, which is the old tree and the new; and what it contains of promise and warning is like its sweet and sour fruits. An unknown garden may indicate Paradise and its bliss, because the Arabs call a garden “janna”. The garden may indicate the market, and the house of a bride: its trees are her tables and its fruits are her food. It may indicate a place or an animal from which income and benefit are drawn, such as shops, inns, bathhouses, mills, slaves, riding animals, livestock and all other sources of yield. Whoever sees himself in a garden, look at his state and at the rest of his dream: if he is in the Abode of Truth (the Hereafter), he is in Paradise and bliss. If he is ill, he will die of his illness and go to it, if the garden is unknown. If he is a fighter in God's cause, he will attain martyrdom, especially if he sees in it a woman inviting him to herself, or drinks milk or honey in it from its rivers, or its fruits do not resemble what he is familiar with.

Whoever sees with him in the garden a group of people who share his market and his craft, the garden is the market of those people; its brisk trade or its slackness is inferred from the wasps (the text is unclear here), from the time spring arrives, and from the time the fruits decline and the leaves fall. Whoever enters a garden and sees a hired worker or a slave urinating into its water channel, or watering it from other than its channels, or from a well other than its own well, it is a man who betrays him with his family. A known garden indicates its owner, or its tenant, or the one in charge of it such as its guard or the one who works its waterwheel. It indicates the congregational mosque that gathers the common people and the elite, the ignorant and the learned, the miserly and the generous. It indicates the market. It indicates a house of learning such as a school and similar places that gather worshippers and students of knowledge who pick its fruits. It indicates a house that gathers the rich and the poor, the righteous and the sinful. Whoever enters a garden in a dream: if he enters it when the fruits are coming in, it indicates good, provision, and increase in righteous deeds, spouses and children; if it is when they are declining and the leaves are falling from the trees, it indicates the exposure of one's condition and debts, or divorcing spouses, or losing children. If the one entering the garden is dead, he is in Paradise. If he is sound, he may be one who wrongs himself and is not trustworthy in his religion; he will hold authority in it or attain honor and power, otherwise he is one who transgresses against himself. The garden may indicate a wife, children, wealth, a pleasant life, and the end of worries and troubles. The garden may indicate the site of a banquet with various foods and dishes, and the ruler's palace that gathers armies and soldiers of various kinds.
