Dry ablution (tayammum) تيمم

In a dream it indicates the nearness of relief. Whoever sees that he is performing dry ablution for prayer, or for purification from major ritual impurity, his relief is near, because dry ablution is a sign of near relief from God the Exalted. Dry ablution in a dream is a sign of travel, or a warning of an illness in which one will need to perform dry ablution. It may indicate a traveler running out of water. If he performs dry ablution with sand, or with what does not stick to the hands, it is a sign of journeys becoming difficult, taking legal concessions and acting on whims. Dry ablution indicates poverty after wealth, illness for the healthy and well-being for the sick. Dry ablution while water is available indicates futile deeds. If he sees that he is performing dry ablution: if it is in the absence of water, it indicates near relief and the end of hardship; and if it is while water is available, there are five views about it. First, that the dreamer prefers taking a concubine over marriage though he is able to afford [marriage]. Second, that he is one who prefers traveling by sea. Third, that he is one who hopes for forgiveness while persisting in sin. Fourth, that he is one who prefers this world over the hereafter. Fifth, that he plays with his religion and seeks out the concessions in the scholars' opinions. It is also said that it indicates deliverance from illness and prison.
