Counting عد

(Whoever sees) in a dream that he is counting five thousand will be made victorious over his enemies. Likewise the number twenty is victory, and a hundred too is victory.

(Whoever sees) that he counts seven or eight will fall into worry.

(Whoever sees) that he counts nine is in a difficult matter and keeps company with corrupt people.

(Whoever sees) that he counts ten is in a matter that has been completed and perfected; it is also said that the number ten signifies the Hajj.

(Whoever sees) that he counts forty is in a matter that he has been promised. Whoever counts thirty is in a false promise that will not be fulfilled, unless it comes after ten. One of something in a dream is an indication of being unique in knowledge, wealth, marriage or children; it may signify obscurity and being cut off from partnership; and the One is the Truth with whom there is no other. Two is victory over enemies; three is fulfillment of a promise; four is an established proof; five is doubt in religion, and likewise six; six may also signify victory over enemies and the establishment of proof against opponents. There is no good in the numbers seven and eight. Ten is expiation for an oath, or for one who [cannot] find the sacrificial animal in the Hajj.

(Whoever sees) that he is counting dirhams bearing the name of God the Exalted will glorify God. If he sees that he counted dinars bearing the name of God, he will gain knowledge. If the inscriptions of the dirhams and dinars are of pictured images, he will busy himself with the vanities of worldly affairs. If he counts pearls, he will recite chapters of the Quran. If he counts gems, he will recall knowledge or learn. If he counts fat cows, fertile years will pass over him. If he counts camels with their loads: if he is a farmer with crops, his crops will be rained upon; if he is a governor, he will obtain from his enemies wealth of importance in proportion to what is in the loads. If he sees that he is counting water buffalo, he will fall into hardship and toil in his livelihood.
