Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Boy (young male servant or son) غلام

In a dream he is good tidings for whoever sees him, because of His saying, the Exalted:

“And there came a company of travelers; then they sent their water drawer, and he let down his bucket. He said, "Good news! Here is a boy." And they concealed him, [taking him] as merchandise; and Allāh was Knowing of what they did.”

Quran 12:19 · Saheeh International

Whoever sees that he gives birth to a boy will be afflicted with worry or illness. If he gives birth to a girl, he will obtain relief (faraj), because of the presence of the female opening (farj) in the girl [wordplay: faraj = relief, farj = vulva]. Whoever carries a small boy will meet with worry. A pregnant woman who gives birth to a boy in a dream is being given glad tidings of a girl, and if she gives birth to a girl she is being given glad tidings of a boy.
