Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Adam, peace be upon him آدم عليه السلام

Whoever sees him in a dream has committed a sin, so let him repent of it. Seeing him may indicate a father, a ruler, or knowledge. Whoever sees that he is slaughtering Adam, peace be upon him, will betray the ruler, or be undutiful to his parents or his teacher. Whoever sees Adam, peace be upon him, in his proper form will attain an office of authority if he is worthy of it; and if he sees as if he spoke to him, he will attain knowledge. It is also said that whoever sees Adam, peace be upon him, will be deceived by the words of one of his enemies, then will be relieved after a time. If he sees him with his color and condition changed, that indicates moving from place to place and then finally returning to the first place.

Whoever becomes Adam, peace be upon him, or becomes his companion, or takes on his attributes: if he is worthy of the caliphate he will attain it; if he is a scholar, people will benefit from his knowledge, or he will attain knowledge in which no one can match him. A dream of Adam, peace be upon him, may indicate an interpreter of dreams, because he was the first to see a dream in this world and to know its interpretation. Seeing him indicates the Hajj and meeting with loved ones. Seeing him may indicate many offspring. Seeing him also indicates absent-mindedness and forgetfulness. It may indicate scheming and trickery, and keeping company with someone who handles snakes, or makes poisons, or earns his living by summoning devils and speaking with their tongues. Seeing him may indicate coarse clothing and weeping. It may indicate the dreamer being made miserable on account of something eaten. Seeing him may indicate a distant journey, possibly toward the region where Adam, peace be upon him, came down. The dreamer may be granted more male children than female. If the dreamer has a disease of the eye, he will recover from his complaint. Seeing him may indicate servants and prostrating to kings. Whoever sees Adam, peace be upon him, in a diminished state, the condition of the dreamer's superior who governs him may decline, or his earnings or his trade may change. Whoever sees him in a good state, great good will come back to him.
