Whoever recites it in a dream, or some of it, or has it recited over him: Nafi' and Ibn Kathir say he will die poor. Ibn Fadala said that if he is a judge, his death has drawn near; if he is a king, his conduct will be good; and if he is a merchant, he will be generous to his family. It is said he will be praised before God Almighty and before people. It is said God Almighty will grant him good provision and he will be given a reward equal to the number of the Emigrants and the Helpers. It is also said that reciting Surat al-Hijr is being restrained [hajr] from sins; and if a scholar recites it, he will die only as a stranger [far from home].
