Whoever recites it in a dream, or any part of it, or has it recited to him, — if he was standing on a pulpit, he will be crucified for a heretical innovation in Islam; Ibn al-Musayyib said: and if he recited it sitting, he will be flogged with whips. Al-Sadiq, may God be pleased with him, said: if a king recites it in his dream, his kingship will cease; if a witness recites it, he will be held back from giving his testimony; if a sick person recites it, he will die; if a woman recites it, her husband will divorce her; if someone associated with learning recites it while walking, he will be flogged with whips, and if he was sitting, he will be imprisoned; and if he was walking quickly, it is feared that his hands and feet will be cut off. So said 'Abdallah ibn Fadala and others. It is also said that he will draw much nearer to God the Exalted. It is also said that he will fall into a calamity and God will accept his repentance. It is also said that he is upon the truth and the truth will be spoken through him, and he will attain good within forty days.
