Prison سجن

In a dream it indicates adherence to religion if it is the prison of the sacred law; if it is the sultan's prison, it indicates worry and misery because of blame or hypocrisy. An unknown prison indicates this world. Prison signifies an ill-tempered wife and an exhausting cause. It may indicate silence and restraining the tongue from idle talk. It may signify a plot by enemies. It signifies accusations, nearness to virgins, the grave and religion, and staying back from journeys because of illness or lack of resolve. It signifies poverty and lack of rest. Entering prison indicates a long life and meeting with loved ones. Prison is worry and sorrow. Whoever chooses a prison for himself will be protected from a sin.

(Whoever sees) that he came out of a prison will recover from an illness. If a prisoner sees that the prison gates are open, he will be freed from his prison; likewise if he sees a window in it with light coming in through it, or sees that its roof has gone and the stars have appeared. Prison is well-being for the traveler and death for the sick.

(Whoever sees) that he is in the sultan's prison, bound, will be struck by something unpleasant, or he is in distress whose relief is hoped for from the sultan's direction. If he sees that he came out of it, he will come out of that distress; if (it is otherwise), it is his heedlessness; and if he is sick, it is the length of his illness.

(Whoever sees) that he is in prison, that is an answered prayer and a way out of worry and distress, because of the story of Joseph (peace be upon him).

(Whoever sees) that he is in a prison whose location, people and appearance are unknown, and he did not come out of it, that is his grave.

(Whoever sees) that he came out of an unknown prison or a narrow room into a wide open space, if he is sick or distressed, it is his going out to rest and relief.

(Whoever sees) that he is bound in his house will receive good, or will see it in his family.

(Whoever sees) that he was imprisoned in a house he does not know will marry a woman from whom he will gain money and children.

(Whoever sees) that he is bound while he is in hardship will be saved from what he fears and dreads.

(Whoever sees) that he is building a prison will meet a man who is a guiding imam, through whom the people of that quarter will return to the praiseworthy way. Prison signifies the bathhouse. It may signify an illness that prevents one from acting and getting up. It may signify delusion. It may signify Hell, because it is the prison of sinners and unbelievers. If he sees a dead person in prison: if he was an unbeliever, that is a sign of Hell; if he was a Muslim, he is detained in Hell for sins and liabilities that remained upon him.
