Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Peg (stake, tent peg) وتد

In a dream it is a king or the equal of a king. Whoever sees that an elderly master drove a peg, a nail or an iron spike into his back, there will come from his loins a king or the equal of a king, or a lord; or he will be a scholar, one of the ‘pegs’ [awtad, saints who uphold the world]. If the peg is of wood and a young man drove it into his back, a hypocritical son will be born to him who will be his enemy. If the peg is pulled out, he will come close to death. If he drove a peg into a wall, he will love an exalted man; if into a house, he will love a woman; if into wood, he will become fond of a hypocritical young man. A peg of iron is wealth and strength. The peg indicates pains because of its sharpness, and indicates worry and grief because of its hardness.

Pegs are harms that arise because of men. The peg indicates a position and firmness in affairs, and being compelled to take office, or to be dismissed, or to travel. If it signifies a child or the wife, it is a sign of her long life.

(Whoever sees) himself as a peg will gain a firm hold on a scholar; it is said he will climb a mountain; it is said the peg is money; it is said it indicates passionate love, worry and grief.

(Whoever sees) that he drove a peg into a wall or the ground: if he is unmarried, he will marry; if he has a wife, she will conceive by him. It is said that the peg is a matter in which there is hypocrisy.
