Dream meaning · al-Nabulsi

Gulf (canal, inlet) خليج

Gulfs in a dream are the followers or gates of whoever the sea points to. If it rises at a time when the sea is falling, it is one who rebels against the king and throws off his obedience; likewise if it falls at a time of rising. The gulf signifies one who is moderate in good and whose harm is not feared, compared with the sea, because of the sea's terror and distance, while the gulf is near, shallow and familiar. The gulf may signify the middle road, or a man of moderate means; his religion and righteousness are inferred from what takes place in it of amusement and play, or of worship and obedience.
