In a dream, if it befalls the believers in God's oneness, it is steadfastness in war and victory, because of His saying, the Exalted:
فِىٓ أَدْنَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ
“In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome”
Quran 30:3 · Saheeh International
(Whoever sees) that he is fleeing in defeat without fear will die.
(Whoever sees) troops entering a town in defeat: if they are upright, they will be given victory; if they are transgressors, God Most High will punish them.
(Whoever sees) that he feared and fled, and the enemy did not catch him, will suffer intense worry from his enemy, then triumph over him.
(Whoever sees) that he hid from his enemy will triumph over him; if the enemy found him, a calamity from his enemy will strike him. If he trembled and shook and his joints went slack, worry will strike him and he will not have the strength to bear it. Defeat for the unbelievers is in itself defeat for them, and for the believers it is victory in war.
(Whoever sees) just troops entering a town in defeat, they will be granted help and victory; if they are wrongdoers, punishment will befall them.
