In a dream they are plenty and wealth, with risk, for whoever keeps them.
(Whoever sees) a beehive and extracts honey from it will obtain lawful wealth. If he takes the honey and leaves nothing for the bees, he will be unjust to a people; and if he leaves something for them, he will be just, if he is a governor or one seeking his rights.
(Whoever sees) bees landing on his head will attain leadership; and if a king sees that, he will attain a kingdom; likewise if the bees settle on his hand. For farmers it is a sign of good and plenty, and for the soldier and others it is a sign of dispute. It indicates the army and the soldiers, because the bees follow their leader just as soldiers follow their commander. Whoever kills bees will overpower an enemy; killing bees is not praiseworthy for farmers, because their provision and livelihood come from them. Bees indicate scholars and authors of books, and toil, earning and tax collection. The bee is a hardworking, important person, of great blessing and beneficial to whoever accompanies him. If a king sees that he takes over the bees' place, he will lose (in other readings: conquer) a prosperous town of great benefit and lawful revenue, inhabited by clever, skilled and rich people. If he sees that he entered their hive, he will gain that hive and take possession of it. If he sees that the bees gathered on him and stung him, they are a people who cooperate with one another, and harm will befall him from them; and if he killed the bees, he will drive them away from that hive. If he sees the bees in an abandoned town, soldiers in whom there is no good will attack that town. Bees indicate a beating because of a fit of zeal, and illness because of honey and wax. Seeing palm trees (likely 'bees' in the original wording) indicates attaining leadership and obtaining benefit. Bees indicate desert dwellers, and the army of Islam, just as locusts indicate the army of unbelief or the Kharijites, and likewise hornets. Bees may indicate people of spiritual unveiling and insight.
