Asking forgiveness (istighfar) استغفار

A person asking God's forgiveness in a dream indicates ample provision. Asking forgiveness outside of prayer indicates an increase in lifespan. Asking forgiveness may indicate victory and the warding off of calamities.

Whoever sees that he is asking God for forgiveness, God will forgive him and grant him wealth, children, a servant, gardens and rivers. If he sees that he stopped asking forgiveness, he is a hypocrite.

Whoever sees as if he is asking God the Exalted for forgiveness will be granted lawful wealth and a child. If he sees as if he finished the prayer and then asked God the Exalted for forgiveness with his face toward the qibla, his supplication will be answered; and if facing away from the qibla, he will commit a sin and repent of it.
